Fire Damages Downtown Costume Business

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The downtown building that's home to a company known for creating the costumes of Brutus Buckeye
and other high-profile mascots was damaged in a fire on Friday.
Firefighters were called to the Costume Specialists building, located at 211 North Fifth St., shortly before noon.
Fire crews were able to control the fire and keep it contained to the building's third floor. It was not clear how much damaged was caused.
No injuries were reported.
Costume Specialists is the company that creates the costumes for Brutus Buckeye and the Cincinnati Bengals' mascot.
The company has also created costumes that appeared in Sesame Street.
